First ride today after replacing 69k miles originals with Hyperpro front and rear. All that nasty wallowing on corners and crash-thump over bumps is gone. Better than stock when it was new? It was more than a decade ago, I can't say. Worth replacing/sorting worn out suspension? Should have done it years ago. Just in case anybody was in any doubt.

Oh, if you're going to have a fuel QD fracture as you take the tank off, best have a petrol can within reach to catch the flow. Otherwise you'll be crouched there with a thumb over the leaky end waiting to evolve a left arm six inches longer to reach the empty can you are gazing at. Which doesn't work. Or at least it didn't for me.

Did you deal direct with Hyperpro in Holland or a dealer over here? Were they custom built for you?

Yes, more info plz. I nearly ordered a Fournales rear yesterday but there doesn't appear to be any backup in the UK.

+1

I fitted a hyperpro to my rear shock along with a service. Fitted a Wilbers to the front (so it's now serviceable).

I may splash out on a new rear shock, but since the work was done the ride changed so much for the better. As you said, anyone toying with the idea should just go ahead. You won't regret it

I ordered through Motorworks, very happy with the service. Had to pay up front and wait a bit, but I knew that beforehand. The shocks were custom built in that I wanted black springs to match my dirty grey bike and remote rear preload, not sure about spring rates and valving because I suspect the standard setup is right for my weight and mostly being solo. I provided the details, and the static sag was right when I bolted them on.

Thanks for the feedback.
