Hopefully one of the tech boffins can help me .....

Is there anyway to identify whether or not a 1200ADV has the lower geared "enduro box" fitted (as opposed to the standard one)?

I am looking at buying a used 2008 model and the current owner says it has the enduro box .... how can I tell if he is right or not. There's nothing on the original invoice from BMW.

TIA

Ask him to get a printout of the original spec from the dealer. It should have an option that states the enduro option has been selected.

Ring any BMW dealer, give them the registration number and they'll be able to give you loads of information about the bike, including whether it has a standard or enduro first gear, service dates etc etc. :thumb2

I had to do the same when I was buying my 1150 GSA. Linky HERE.
