Hi Guys :

I looking for information about " Fuel octane coding relay" for a 2005
1150 gs Adv., which seems to be the reason that this bike works on low fuel octane as low as 85 octanes. There´s any person who can help me out there?

Best regards

I never got to the bottom of the ADV 'low-octane' capability, even rang a main dealer who was unable to enlighten me - I think it's likely a myth.

Anyway - I ran my non-ADV 1150 on sub 80 RON fuel with no major problems - that was with the catalytic converter removed and with no cat code plug installed.

It's just a link wire, but in a relay box. So make your own for a penny.

I can't remember the 2 links needed for low octane in the cat code plug box. :blast

Hi steptoe :

That´s righ, I know that´s something related to wiring but unfortunately I couldn´t to find someone who knows about it.

Best regards

hi sargent :

Is good to know that you said cause im planning a trip trough places where the only octane available is 80.

best regards
