Hi All

I put my battery back on sunday and removed the fuel tank for doing this job. I attached the hoses as usual without any hassle after putting tank back. i did a test ride this evening till the petrol station to fill up the tank and noticed that it is leaking from the low pressure return hose. i checked the hose and seems fine ,no crack or else.
what might cause this leak?

i reconnected and tried to seat it correctly back again but once i start the bike it leaks again.
is there any trick to attach them back or do i need any new part ?

I searched on the forum but there are various leakage problem that doesn't cover my problem.

You need to replace the o ring.

I haven't the number to hand but make sure you get a Viton one, get a couple of spares while you're at it as they do fail and particularly if your not super careful reconnecting.

Put rubber grease on them or at least some spit :beerjug:

Not sure if it's exactly the same, but I can remove and replace the battery on my 1100 without removing the tank or disconnecting anything, just remove the retaining bolt and raise the tank and prop with a suitable length of 2x1 timber (about 6 or 7 inches long)

I'm sure I've seen brass (?) quick disconnects on sale somewhere.

How easy to change those o rings. Does it require any special attention or tricks?

10 seconds to change once the connectors are apart.
All will become clear when apart.
Good idea to lube them slightly too.
