Low rent Bluetooth headset.

Not tried it but at that price I think I just might :thumb2

Ahah....a willing guinea pig. :) What are you going to pair it with?

either of chaps tried this out yet ?

I'm a numpty when it comes to bike comms etc - will the gizmo in this thread just pair up to a garmin 2820 out the box without any extra wiring / dongle etc ?

If so, are half decent ish helmet speakers available which will connect to a 3.5mm jack ? Don't think my sensitive lugs will get on with in ear or bud type headphones.......

i only sold a set of Iasus XSound2 helmet speakers yesterday on eBay. Can't comment on them as I never used. Supposed to be good though.

I reckon in ear headphone are better though.

ordered one of these arrived 2day 1st impressions very good
we test it properly this week

thanks for spotting it :clap:clap

fantastic bit of kit been out 2nite
no interference at all even from a aprillia v twin
connected to my garmin zumo playing tunes and getting directions

cant comment on battery life yet but at 9 quid u could always buy 2

Got one of these and for less than a tenner I'm well impressed, bought mine to use in the car, pairs to more than 1 device ok, no need to re-pair when changing devices. I connect my Zumo 660 then connect my iPhone to the Zumo, all work flawlessly, turn off Zumo and it connects to the phone instead:) if only Nokia could figure Bluetooth out it wouldn't have been such z pain to get the Zumo working properly.

I've never had any problems pairing Nokias with previous Garmin devices. I've regularly used a number of Nokias with a couple of nuvis.

I understand that Garmin changed from a Parrot chip in the nuvis to a Motorola chip in the Zumo. Ironically, my 660 won't even pair with a Motorola SLVR.

Yep the wives nokia pairs fine with the nuvi, think the main problem was the Zumo, but this little bit of kit seems to pair with everything fine:thumb2, my car has a 3.5mm jack on the stereo so I use it to connect the zumo to hhe stereo and iPhone to the Zumo, works flawlessly:D

Hi All,

Just a quick question,

do the ear pieces fit in your ears or into the crash helmet.

i use Sony headphones which plug into my 660, after a few hours they can hurst my ears if you pull on the wire and move them.

All i want is a set that fit into the helmet and not your ears and can be paired with the 660 via bluetooth etc and not plugged into the 660, im not bothered about talking on the phone or bike to bike comms i just want to listen to my music and directions from my 660.

cheers

Lloyd

It's still available from Buybits via the link in my initial post -

http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_5164.aspx

- albeit at twice what I paid for mine.

There's a very similat Nokia branded item here -

Or....the original is still available on ebay for 9 quid -

So many choices....:)
