I want some lower handlebars on my R1200GS as i sit to upstraight which gives me pain in my back, i looked around but all te handlebars that are available in 1 1/8" aren't wide enough, does anyone knows if they exist?

There are alternatives, try a search on "Renthal" You need 28.6mm dia, many alternatives are only 28mm and the clamps don't hold them tightly enough. Renthal Twinwall or FatBars will fit. The standard bars are quite low rise but have a large backward sweep which is a problem for some. Reversing the clamps to push the bars forwards might help, also try rotating them in the clamps.

The bar ends add about 20-25mm to each side plus the actual end weights.

I have problems with BMWs long angle backwards sweep but have got used to it at least enough to take the pressure off trying some Renthal bars.

If the bolt holes into the forks top mount are suitable for your needs, you could also try some lower bar mounting blocks.

If you have the cash try some Fasstco anti shock/vibration bars.

A Sargent seat might not work with low bars. They seem to be aiming at the high bars, low seat laid back market.

Iv been very happy since changing over done around 2000 miles :beerjug:

You had no trouble fitting the original handguards then?

Oh and can you give me a link to an ebay auction that is still active, i'm struggeling to find one...Thanks!
