My better half has a factory lowered 650 twin with a low seat and the rear shock wound down most of the way. even still it's an inch too high.

Do any of you know if there's a different seat option to help out?

She'd end up sitting on frame rails if the seat were any lower. Has she considered some built up boots - Daytona Ladystars for example?

Yeah, that's a problem, i had the seat off and couldnt see anyway of getting a lower seating position but was wondering if the width could be reduced? there doesnt seem to be much padding on the seat anyway however i've read somewhere around here that get seats or such can help?

already done that, make a surprising difference. which brings me to another question! the reason I'm hoping for a better footing for her is we're off to Morocco :thumb in September and although we wouldn't be going hardcore we'll have a bash at the pistes etc and although she passed her bike test at WOBMW on exactly the same bike as she has now it's the footing on shitty tracks that might make things a bit tricky. hadn't thought about the boots that i might need to replace for the trip but i don't think moto boots would have the same gain in height as the ladystar boots.

Have you tried loading the bike with luggage, can make a bit of difference to the height, also trying raising the forks through the yolk a little.

Wow, your good lady must be on the short side. My wife's 5foot 4.
Took her boots to the cobblers and he put and extra sole and heel on the bottom of her brand new xtc's, Low seat from a great guy on here, dropped the forks 30mm and softened the suspension on the rear.
Good luck....Tosh

raising the forks through the yolk is an excellent suggestion, I'll give that a go. She's Japanese, not the tallest of nationalities to get a 650 for :blast

and Tosh, good suggestion about the cobblers, will look into that as well.

Thanks guys for your help
