hi lads I get my r 1200 gsa on 28/05/20 as I have only got 28 inch inside leg what is the best way to lower the seat vince

Start with the oe low seat,

set the front and back to the low settings

If that's not enough, change the bobbins at the front for 10mm off sett ones

And you could remove / trim the rubbers on the seat base to give you another few mm, but if you cut as opposed to to remove you cant go back easily.

The next option is

The unicorn horn - a TT/ KH Ultralow seat. bloody expensive £300 odd bu tis ultra low & appears to be comfy ;)

(Ebay & FB marketplace can pay dividends)- although i believe someone on here has one for sale if you shout loud enough :)

You can also use the offset bobbins on the ultralow seat ;)

the other option is send your seat to one of the recommended seat re upholsterer's and have a seat feet bum chat with them

Before you start throwing money at it try the bmw low seat in the low setting.

If he's got a 28" inside leg even the factory low seat set low, wont be much better.

For some bizzare reason they made the bike wider than the hexhead, so the 30mm factory lowered bike is the same height at as std hexhead

so you dont gain anything with the factory low seat

but of course,he should go through the other options before spending big money on a TT UL seat.

Hi mate
If your bike is an lc model then you are more than welcome to try my extra low seat (social distancing allowing of course) . I have it fitted to my 2016 gsa with lowering cams. It gives me the height required but i do find it hard on the backside and back on a long journey.
Cheers Jon

Can you be a bit clearer? i think what your saying is you have a low seat .... which one oem or TT/Kahedo

The TT/KH is an ultralow seat some 20mm lower than oem low

As Winjar saya what have you go your suspension set to?

it should be single rider and soft - pillion hump not withstanding, i can swing my leg over and get near onto the balls of both feet on mine..

Comfort, the TT/KH is nice, but it may need some extra padding for a long journey.
