Hi, you may have seen my Triple Blck ESA for sale however, everytime I ride it I want to keep it. My issues are that my knees aren't what they used to be. I can put one foot flat on the floot but my knee is locked which is not ideal. What I want is to get both feet flat with a slight bend in the knee. I sat on the new Lowered Adventurer at the NEC and liked it but still liked mine so not sure the new feel that will wear of is worth the money.

So, to my point, I see Hyperpro springs that lower by 40mm on sale, these appear to get lower when you sit on them as they are progressive. I am not sure if this will get my feet flat and knees not locked. So another alternative is Wilbers with lowered springs, has anyone used these or have any comments?

I already have a standard height Sergeant seat on it, and do not want a thinner, lower seat.

I am looking for a ride in, ride out service near Leicester :beerjug:

Thanks in advance,
Ian

Iv'e tried airhawke before and didn't get one with it, I also want to maintain the footpeg to seat ratio, don't want to bend my knees any further than now.

I have a set of Hyperpro progressive 40mm lowering springs for a 1200GSA with ESA boxed up in my garage that I could do with selling if you are interested, £70 plus postage for the pair.

I tried them but for me it was too low, I prefer the standard height. If my knees were bad that would be a different story.

You'd need someone with a spring compressor to fit them for you but that shouldn't be too hard to sort. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Cheaper option try to pick up a set of r1200gs esa shocks from a similar aged bike and try them for size first, if it works then go for better quality Wilbers and sell on the gs shocks..... keep the standard shocks for when you sell the bike.
You may very well need a gs centre stand and sidestand as well

Hi Pukmeister, I beleive we talked before about these, mines the later model not the Showa I beleieve, so not sure that yours will fit. If they do I would be interested,

We have fitted 40mm Hyperpro lowering springs to Dereks 2008 GSA With ESA as I think he is a 28" inside leg.
They work very well even 2 up with full luggage not bottoming out at all.
Mikey Boy is near Leicester I am sure he would swap them for you.
If you were at Café Hockley this coming Saturday I am sure Derek could be persuaded to let you have a sit on his GSA.
He had tried lower seats etc ,without success, the Hyperpro`s have done the job he even leaves them on the low setting 2 up..

Sounds like a solution, if it is it's good result...:thumb2

I wouldn't mind this doing to my GS, Is there anyone around Cheshire /Merseyside that can do this ?

Cheers

You could try these .... Might be cheaper ....:augie:D

Ah yes, my apologies, so we did. If they would fit, they are still available. Best to check with the Hyperpro website I guess.

Cracked record again but it's such a shame there is not a proper hydraulic pump to move the suspension more quickly. The units themselves have the correct preload adjusters.

Even taller riders would benefit from suspension dropping down when bike goes below (let's say) 10 mph and back up when speed rises.

That would be cool, itseven harder when SWMBO gets on the back, I beleive that the WC version off ESA allows you to put things up adnd down on the move, unlike this one. Once on the move all is good. The new GSA lowered is perfect but just that bit too pricey.

On the WC you cannot adjust the ride height on the move .

It will be 50mm lower and set up for me, swmbo and any luggage we use so I am looking forward to these.
