Hi Folks ,I fitted an M shock and some hyper pro fork springs too my rt mono this week.
So far I have covered 200 miles of bumpy Shropshire, and I must say the m shock is very nice indeed it has adjustable rebound and compression damping controlled with one adjuster ,the overall finish is very good it has a nice solid feel about it and seems a very well made unit, they come with a range of spring colours and the usual c spanner and fitting instruction and the shock is made too order so its built too fit your weight over all recommended,I got mine from http://www.bike-revival.co.uk/monoshock.html or you can go direct too www.shock-factory.com it was £15 cheaper from revival.
The fork springs from hyperpro are very easy too fit they come with instructions and a bottle of 20 wt oil which I should never have bothered using, it was for too over damped,so I drained it and put 12 wt in which was a big improvement but still a little harsh,so I am going too change for 7,5 wt and hope this will be a good compromise on a naked bike.
The ride and handling are vastly better, however it was on the original springs and rear shock and as every other moving part of the bike was buggerd its no surprise that its much better.
Here are some images of the shock on my bike, which is ready too take apart and finish of over the winter the rear mudguard and light are going,I need some silencers as this pair don't belong too me and a splash of paint
yep I know I have ruined another classic rt or maybe I made a box full of rusty and oily bits into a motorbike again

What sort of cost were the fork springs? IIRC the standard mono has 5 wt oil, and my memory cells say that the advice for the airhead GS was a mix of 5 and 10 wt oil.

Nice to see a bike without an excess of plastic on it :thumb2

Thanks chaps ,it looks better than the box of oil and rust I started with .
I am going too put the 7,5wt fork oil in the week at some point, and set the carbs up on the dyno next month

Hi John the fork springs were £120 ,and yes 7,5 is the oil I am going for

I did the fork oil change over the weekend it improved the ride no end ,I did ask hyperpro why the send out 20wt oil with this springs ,they say it's better damping,it made the front end al out solid ,so we live and learn .
The rear shock is very good ,and recommended:clap

After some pissing about I just could not get on with the fork springs ,Arkright gave me the email of Bas at hyperpro So I emailed him and told him about my bike ,that day he sent out another Spring kit from a different bike ,I'm. Not sure which and a bottle of 10 and 20 wt oil.
He just said send the old springs back when your ready ,no money changed hands ,just great service the new springs were shorter and came with a preload spacer.
I made some 15 wt oil up and put 320 mm in each fork leg ,the results were just great a real transformation
.well done to Bas at hyperpro top stuff and big thanks to Arkright for passing me his details
