Got a loaner 2023 S1000 XR today as my 1250GS is having some work done on it - only a mere 170 bhp, but its is effin rapid. I have it all day tomorrow too, maybe I will finish work early and go for another play as the weather looks good. I could be tempted to chop in the GS for one of these silly machines whilst I'm still young enough to ride one

The M1000XR is finally out...Could have been a great bike as the only sportbike you can actually ride for longer than a 20 min session on the track...But BMW f@cked up again by leaving hardbags/top box and center stand off the options list...Which cut 90% of prospective sales...They never learn ! Some well healed 50 plus track rats will be ecstatic though...LOL

The M1000XR is for sure the most comfortable superbike and great for trackdays for people who are tired to have to fold yourself up like a pretzel which is fine if you are in your 20’s or pretend to still be… BUT to leave the luggage or center stand options off the options list is beyond stupid !

It would have been made for me if BMW did not forget the options for a centerstand and hard luggage on the new M1000XR...Because just for the 2,3,4 weekends on the track the bike is too expensive.Now wait for the M1300GS with 17" wheels,160hp/nm and 24 liter tank ! I have not given up hope yet...LOL

Its still an XR surely you could add the centerstand and luggage rails off a standard bike ??

I dont know if the luggage and centerstand from the regular XR can be added to the M…Why would they leave them off the options list ?! If you want to actually go places its the regular XR only as my guess…
