M1000xr

I guess I’m getting old, like most of us I grew up on sports bikes, RDs and GSXRs etc. but this just does nothing for me, even though it’s certainly twice the bike than anything I ever had :nenau
GSXR, fireblades etc, have never done anything for me in my 41 years, I can not see that changing anytime soon. Cramped, impractical, IMO pointless, same applies to the M XR, Multi Strada PikesPeak and RS..... I just can't unsee a 50+ year old, dressed in full leather onesie, riding a glorified 200 bhp adventure bike. :nenau

That is the Only superbike I WOULD buy as it is fast & comfortable...But no bags & no centerstand equals no sale...LOL

It will be a really tough decision...Going only 155 mph but have luggage and centerstand or going 173 mph or not...LOL Like that they finally got rid of the tractor seat and you can hang-off the bike on the '24 XR's !

After trying ‘him’ on ignore and liking it, I added our resident Californian riding god to the same list.
Now I can’t read his posts about the M1000XR….but I still know what he’s saying 🥱

Had 2 S1000 XR's......great touring bike, way faster than I ever needed. The 'M' version is because BMW can, and some people will like / want one
Also, I've had a GSXR1000 and a Fireblade, both did many european tours with ease, but I was more flexible back then
GS1250 does everything I need with enough oomph
The group I go away with includes 2 x V4S ducatis and a KTM 1290 SAS, my next bike will probably be a GS1300 as everyone is different and the point that I am at now, the GS is my perfect bike
No onesie leathers....except on the track

:D:D:D
Yup, he is a riding god stuck record.
200hp on an upright bike and I bet owners will swear blind they red line it in every gear and use every single one of its ponies.....

In Mexico you can ride as fast as you want…Land of the free ! North of the border land of the fee…LOL The M-XR looks like a great bike but no bags & no centerstand will kill the sales except for the few that want a comfortable track bike…But I will give the regular XR another try as finally for ‘24 they got rid of the tractor seat that made hanging-off harder then it had to be…

Utter utter bollox.
We got pulled for riding about 10/15 km/h over the limit near Mexico City, but got off it as our guide was a local and sweet talked the feds .
Saw a number of speed traps when out in the countryside.
