Great. ..but, surely the market would be for 17ā front wheel before 21ā ?
I think the market is for cheaper, more relevant bikes.
BMW seem to be in cloud cuckoo land producing ever more ridiculous bollox.
Who really wants to pay probably nearly £30k for a tarted up 1300 when other manufacturers are now producing class-leading 1000cc adventure bikes for under £9k ? Including heated grips and seat , cruise, TPMS, Apple CarPlay nav etc etc .
Obviously thereāll be a few on here but I think BMW need a rethink or get left behind in the future .
Take a look in the CF Moto section -MCN just pitched the 1000MTX against the latest Africa Twin and Tiger 900.
The CF Moto was the stand out test winner, before even considering the massive price difference of over £5k.
Now obviously not many prospective GS owners would even consider a Chinese made bike . Because theyāre utter shite and will lose 90% of their value when wheeled out of the showroom.I read it here . Itās utter bollox of course, but this is UKGSER after all.
But in the real world those with disposable income tend to be getting older and donāt really want or need a big Ā£25k 1300. But in the UK, peer pressure and the ridiculous need to fit in to a perceived group means many are riding the wrong bike .
Germany and the UK will be the last bastion of the mighty GS.
The rest of Europe arenāt so blinkered .
