Apparently I need to run Mac OSX 10.5.8 and above to sync my daughters iPhone 4 on her Mac. She only has OSX Tiger as it is not an intel chip so can't run snow leopard. I can run Leopard but can't buy it anymore! Does anyone have a copy I could buy?

Apple Feckwits! Windows backwards compatibility on the iPhone for 10 years, Mac OSX 3 years :censor:

not easy to get hold of cheaply as Snow Leopard upgrade at £25 requires you to keep your Leopard OSX Disc. Leopard OS/X 10.5 Discs seem to be going for at least £50 on ebay.

a strictly legal technicality.

you can do a fresh install from any of the snow leopard discs on their own. upgrade, single, family are all the same bar packaging.

You are quite right that the £25 Snow Leopard upgrade disc will do a fresh install.

However it is illegal to use the upgrade without having the original software that you are upgrading from. A point made very strongly on this site by some individuals when I went to sell some Mac software, despite doing it legally.
