Finally decided to have a jacket made for myself , exactly to my spec and design, with imput from Brian ( BKS ) my jacket wil be ready next month . Roo leather , hidden vents and classic design .

That's interesting,I didn't realise they were still doing M2M after Frank Thomas,s took over.
Always wanted some bib n brace trousers made.
Are they still in Exmouth?

When you measure yourself for a made to measure bike jacket, take your measurements in a seated position.
I had one made years ago. Sent my standing-up measurements, and got a lovely jacket. Fitted like a glove ... standing up.

Sitting down was a whole different experience.

Alec at Crowtree (or it may have been his missus) got me to crouch in roughly the position I rode in before measuring me. The kit was absolutely spot on.....then I lost 2 stone......and changed bikes from crouched to sit-up-and-beg...... I haven't worn it since.......:blast But the quality and price (value for quality) was spot on.

Alec is a top man and his work first class. I got an email from his nephew saying he's had a major heart attack and is very poorly.

Jaysus FD2. That's not good news. I'd seen the Facebook note and thought it was Linda (his wife) that wasn't well as she hadn't had the best of health a few years ago. Brilliant people and I got one of his Lancer jackets about 7 years ago. I hope things work out and he takes some well deserved rest.
