main beam not working

the warning light came on the bike to say the main headlight was not working. Did the obvious thing and repalced the halogen bulb, however still no light and the warning light indicates a problem. Would have changed the fuse but this thing was made in the year 2020 and does not have fuses.

Any ideas before i book it into the garage-well its still under warranty just!

Did you check to see if the old bulb was actually blown?

Well, if the bulb was sound and contacts look ok then (not much help I know ) sounds like a dealer check up

I had exactly the same problem. In the end it was a new ECU under warranty, I'm afraid. Could be expensive if your out of guarantee period.

Put me leathers on this morning weathers good,dry roads start work at 6.40am Doh!!!, forgot me light doesnt work

Bike is still under warranty phew, booked in for monday-bloke says the bulb is under warranty-could have saved meself 3 pund 50 pence blast!!

took the bike to bmw garage they replaced the bulb with bmw and it works fine-felt like a reel lemon, anyway i would advise too only buy secret technology bmw bulbs in future
