Major Problem, well a problem

I bought a set of Touratech head protectors for my trusty stead to be used in conjunction with the BWM engine bars. They won't bloody fit with the bars in place.

Because of the configuration of the engine there isn't enough clearance between the bars and the left hand cylinder.

If anybody has managed this feat I would be pleased to know how. If it can't be done does anybody want to buy a pair of unused Touratech head protectors.

Belt and braces

I suppose that BMW feel that their bars will give enough protection and guards are not necessary? Presumably the bars must have some room to flex if there is a fall? I notice however that the guards will fit with the Touratech bars. It would be interesting to add up the weights of all the Touratech bits and bobs - but they aren't given in my catalogue!

He did havea problem but IIRC it was about something that happened after he dropped it and broke a stud which then went into the engine

I don't recall him saying anything about problems fitting them, and I'm pretty sure he did it rather than Prestige.
