Hi Guys

I have fitted TKC 80's to my GS1200 a few weeks ago. I have an issue with major handbar wobble around 100mph (i have a very long private drive!). Any ideas and what pressure should they be?

speed rated

TKC's are speed rated to I think 64mph:blast. That has never stopped me travelling around 80 mph for long periods but 100mph and the chances are you will have a weave:augie

The only time I've ever seen you travel at 80 is when you were accelerating to or braking from over a ton :toungincheek :D

TKC 80's are 'q' rated, which is 99mph.

Keep them at or above that for long distances and they overheat and the blocks start cracking around their bases on the carcass.

keep it under 100mph. For road use 2.5 front, 2.9 back seems to be fine for me

Front end wobble at 100 ish when I have panniers on, once very scary at well
over a ton, thought I was going to be off!

Oh... So THAT'S what's been causing it! :augie

Fanum's right, rated to 99mph. I've got them too and tend to keep to 90 or lower, where they're fine and dandy.
