I waited until she'd gone and left a suitable amount of time in case she'd forgotten something and came back.

The list of jobs she'd left for me to do on a day off somehow didn't seem fair......not when the KTM needs a thrashing.

So sneaked off to the first lane with half a guilty eye open for her car.

Besides, it's an important job to give the bike a shakedown ride before the March Moon event in a couple of weeks isn't it

I know you shouldn't really trail ride alone but hey ho, I'm a big boy now but equally don't want to crock myself as 'she'd' find out where I'd been

A quick check of my phone to make sure she wasn't checking up on me. She wasn't so time to press on

A few of the lanes around here have been dressed with gravel but it doesn't spoil this one too much.

A bit later on it's time for another breather and check of the phone.

Cheese and pickle hmmm it's the best I've got so tuck in

Another great blast back up to the top but it's raining and no view this time.

Heading down to get on the Clifford Byway, which I decide to ride in both directions.

Suprisingly quite dry at the bottom which is normally a quagmire.

Quick break at the top before turning back down again.

My last butty's a right mess mmmmm so scoff that and head for home.

Gotta go now, jobs to do

AWOL, excellent. Very often the best these spur of the moment trips. Offroading on your own has to be done sometimes, good for the soul. Pack up as well, means more brass for trips out, good man. Now get back home and marigolds back on there's work to be done .

I see that every new Toilet GS comes with one of these so the rider doesn't dehydrate on the RTW trip to Sainsburys,assuming it's not raining !
