I need to try and make space under the passenger seat for my radio. I did read on one post that someone moved something and it confused their ABS system. HAs anyone relocated the module shown in the picture?

Yeah, I don't believe you can move that module. There IS space under there... but you cannot access it so easily. you need to remove the silver surround trim that you see in the top of your phot. Take off the rack and the pannier rails (if fitted) and once the bolts/spacers for those are removed, that silver cowl will lift free.

OK cheers Ill have to look at another option then.
Ta

Phills suggestion was the other option, I think we posted at the same time..

This gives you an idea of how much space is under there

Stick it in a tool tube inside your pannier rails, a lick of sealant on the grommets and Bob’s your uncle.

If you mean a radio transmitter then I’d not place it close to any of the bikes wiring - there is a chance of inducing unwanted signals into the bike’s systems - not sure how well they are protected against near-field EM radiation.

As you've probably discovered, there is a "roomy" area right at the back behind that module under the rear of the rack. However, to access it necessitates the removal of the whole rack every time, so only really any use for things you don't need access to, such as a fuzeblock or other wiring related gubbins. Also, you will have to be careful with what you place there as anything that might cause electromagnetic interference to that module might also cause problems.

As you haven't said why you need to make the room, it's dificult to know what to suggest exactly.

I can't remember who or in which area of this forum it is but someone posted a thread about something similar and ended up hollowing out the pillion seat or rider seat (can't remember).

I must confess that I thought the job was a butchery, looked awful (even if not visible once on) and didn't convince me. Also, he kept tools in the hollow which sometimes become magnetised and I'm quite sure not at all good for that all important module (or even the key module, for that matter)

All sorted. Managed to get my PDM60 and Autocom SPA under the riders seat. I also managed to fit the Interide radio under the passenger seat without having to remove the rack or rear panel. Garmin 590 and PTT switch for the radio also fitted. Just got to mount the remote aerial & thats all the wiring done.

Why feck about taking off pannier rails and seat cowls, use a bit of lateral thinking and remove the 6mm screws underneath and drop down the undertray/rear mudguard as one unit takes about 2 minutes

Is there nowhere up front you can mount it on the LC?
I get really good reception from mine and you can get at the controls.

I reckon I could have squeezed it in the cubby hole where the Rad cap sits. I'm happy for it to sit under the rear seat. I have fashioned a bracket which is bolted to the rear rack and attached a remote aerial. It should be far enough away from the electronics under the seat.

How is your Zumo attached to the bar?

It was me who relocated the ABS sensor. Don’t do it.

That said, I have a Sena SR10 one side of it and a small ebay radio programmable HAM radio set to match Kenwood PMR frequencies on the other side. External antenna too :thumb

All done by simply removing the seat.

No, fit the radio in the tool tube not relocate the BMW gubbins. My radio worked well for six years until I sold the bike.

It's not a radio, it's the speed sensor but it also measures the pitch and yaw for ABS Pro. It needs to be level and calibrated.

From the OP
“Making room under the passenger seat

Hence my post suggesting that he leaves the BMW gubbins alone and put the radio in the ... oh I give up, I can’t be arsed
