Does anyone know if and where I can buy a hardback user manual. I don't want to download one. I want to be able to put the book next to the bike when I try and carry out repairs.

Halfords sell the Haynes for 2004 to 2006 models, as no doubt do lots of other places. I don't know of a manual for later models.

I did hear a rumour that the Haynes manual would soon be updated for the 2008/09 models - not sure how true it is though

Out of interest, does anyone know if there is a BMW Service Manual for 08's and onwards? I have one for my older K bike which has seen lots of use and well worth the money.

Motoworks sell repair manuals in CD format .... bit pricey though at £50.

I am considering purchasing one, if enough folk here would be interesting in purchasing a burnt copy at a small price it'll but one

Nippy Normans sell the Haynes manual. Suggest looking on ebay for the BMW one.

When I have a job to do I print off the relevant pages from the BM manual and laminate them

Just had an email from Haynes.
They are producing a new version of the manual for a GS. Book No. 4598, to be published early next year. Will include the 2008 models.
RRP of £22.99
