had fly by wire throttle on 4 cars, no problem.
i have had snapped throttle cables in the past though![]()
I have had cables snap too, but it is an easy fix, the more sensors that are fitted, whether it is to cars or bikes the more difficult they become to fix. Ok once you diagnose which sensor has failed then it is usually easy to swap out, but the hard part is diagnosing "exactly" which sensor as gone US, as so much engine management seems to involve more than one sensor.
that's the sort of argument that was put forward when electronic ignition started replacing points.
anyway, better get used to it as i would have thought all vehicles will have it soon.
