1200GS has plastic "tank". Doh!

Has anyone found a supplier of a suitable map-case and/or low volume tank bag (say, 5 litres, for specs, 'phone and sarnies). I have seen them on bikes in Germany but usual UK suppliers only seem to stock items with magnet fixing or you have to buy a full tank cover first.
Thanks in advance

Hein Gericke had a stock of small(ish) Oxford strap-on tankbags. They were doing them for £10.00 on production of a voucher from Superbike magazine, a few months ago. They may have some stock left.

I've got a mountain bike map case that I used to take on the DRZ.....it has two straps that goa round the bars and the case then lies flat across the top of the tank....obviously it slides left and right with the bar movement but it wasn't a problem.....they're about a tenner from any good bike shop .

Have a look at Mo-tech in Germany

If I'm reading things correctly, they do a 6.5 litre daypack tankbag for 49.00 Euro-thingies, and an attachment ring that sits around the fuel filler for 16.90 Euro-thingies.

Looks like they also do an 8 litre Enduro tankbag, but I can't find the price.

1200 Gs mapcase

Touratech do a mapcase (part ref KLETT) that attaches by velcro to a baseplate that is toed to the tank by straps front and rear. Good sized mapholder and works well.

I have a Baglux tank cover and tankbag on my 1200GS, not the cheapest but excellent kit with a good top map pocket. As sold by Nippy Normans.

Thanks for your replies. As I am due to be in Germany soon, I will try a couple of dealers there - I'll post a note if I find anything useful.

Thanks again ;)
