Map Distortion Correction - BaseCamp & MapSource

Guys, I need a pointer to that little program which "resets/corrects" the distortion of the map.
IIRC it is something to do with adjusting the Latitude which you view the map from....

Any helpers, please

Many thanks. It wasn't what I had in mind (tweaking the registry ) but I will give it a go if I fail to unearth the other option.

Get GMTK from www.javawa.nl and use it to adjust the projection angle without going into the registry. The default is 35 degrees. I find 50 degrees makes the UK look more like an AA paper atlas.

I've just done exactly that! I knew there was summit out there, just couldn't place it.
I even had JaVaWa downloaded on my puter from last year's 2014 map adjustment.

I had to re-learn my Dutch to sift through a couple of their instructie [sic] but got there....
