Any one know how to reset? Can't at the moment remove battery as have all Allen key, is there a button push combination?

Not 100% sure, but think if you push bottom right hand corner of screen at the same time as the on/off button it may perform a re-set? Good luck!

That's a full factory reset and will loose all your favourites, tracks and routes that you have on the GPS.

Do you have your mapping on the SD card, can the Zumo see this? SD cards have been known to get corrupted. Happened to a guy in our club when in the South of France.

When you say you have your laptop does that mean that you have fully unlocked mapping and Mapsource. If that's the case and the mapping was on the SD card then buy another SD card and load it onto that via Mapsource. Do this overnight as it takes a while. If you're in a hurry only do UK, France and Spain if that's all that your trip involves.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies

Thanks for the replies, they were very helpful, I have bought a 4gb sd card and did actually find out that I only had uk and northern France loaded to the unit (the memory was too small).
Now worked out how to install maps to sd card using Bascamp
Last sticking point is that the maps on the laptop are originals from 2008, I ve got 2011 at home but at least the thing is now working.
Was considering getting LM update before I left UK but ran out of time, have read elsewhere on the list that Garmin may not allow copying of maps to SD! iF this is so, it effectively buggars me up or makes me do some manual file moves, anyone any idea on this?
