If like me you are still using an old Street Pilot III you will know that transfering Routes from Mapsource requires the PC Serial lead rather than the card reader.
Problem - my current PC does not have a Serial port.
So I purchased a USB/Serial adapter lead on Flea bay thinking that this was a simple answer. Not so simple! Driver installed and lead connected but no joy. Lead supplier has been useless at helping so I wonder if any one out there has been through this and give me any tips at getting the PC (Vista) and the Garmin to talk to each other. Computer knowledge is limited so keep it as simple as you can.
