Cool. Does this mean the v9 is available for order?

not yet but

V9 is not available but you need to put your name down.
The procedure is to now create a 'My Garmin' account
then , if you're entitled to the urade (i.e you bought V8 after 01/09/06), you can register to have a DVD sent to you as and when they become available.
Slight hitch...

when doing the above, you get a message which says :
"This Master Coupon Code does not contain any Garmin units that currently have MapSource updates available. Garmin's Automotive MapSource applications are generally updated annually and the Bluechart software is updated twice a year. Please check back periodically to see if MapSource updates are available for your Garmin unit. Click here to return to the Master Coupon Code entry screen."

I telephoned Garmin this morning who tell me their website is not quite ready for orders yet. but they were very helpful and I made my request by:

well spotted that man- I wondered how long it would take
before someone spotted the deliberate mistook....
Of course it is CN 9
