I have just changed to a 2014 from my a 2013 model. See "A big thank you to Ocean", in the dealer section.
I am at present transferring the farkles onto the new bike.
One of those changed over is Mark's crud catcher. It has only covered about 2000 miles, but a fender extender was also fitted.
If you look at the picture of the crud catcher you can see the sand blasted area on the centre line cause by road crud thrown up by the tyre.
I know that the older 1200GS suffered from front engine plate corrosion, so it would appear that you would be well advised to fit a crud catcher, even if you have a fender extender in order to protect the front engine plate.
Mark, many thanks, an excellent bit of kit.
Cheers
