Meningitis outbreak in africa has now reached southern morocco.

I'm getting vacinated in the morning. The vacine needed is - meningitis acyw, trade name mengivac .

Now for the good news.

There are vaccines available that will protect against some of the different types of meningitis. There is no vaccine which will protect against all of the types of meningitis.

is this meningitis thing a real issue, we're off on Friday and presume it's too late for vacinations.
Will look on th WHA site today and try to find out any info.

There is nothing about a change in risk here and nothing about Meningitis.

Having said that, not sure I really trust our government websites to get information too us that quickly
