You do realize that the manufactures use this junk as advertising. They told the Honda guys this poll was going on but forgot to mention it to the BMW guys.
KTM SMT? Is it even in the showrooms yet?

i agree, I voted for the VFR. More reliable
Most VFR owners I know go around with pockets full of regulators.
and the MCN poll is now somewhat skewed

Got a 08 GSA had a 98 VFR. Voted for a VFR.

Did you notice that every time the bikes are seen all together on the road the KTM is in front, no way the Gixer would smoke it and be long gone on the bends, plus they said on the site it was a Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9. Nope it was a 750.
As for the track what was the point, just how many bikers by a bike with track days in mind and when he asks if the KTM is the best all round sports bike ? WTF you dick it`s not even a sports bike there is only one in the line up.
If you read the article in the rag they slate the beemer for having wide handle bars then praise the KTM for having guess what, yes wide handle bars. Make ya minds up u tits. Fuel consumption to reserve on the BMW is supposed to be 120 did they ever take it out of 2nd gear and the KTM with a 1 gallon smaller tank is 130 ffs.
Then the disclaimer under neath in small print says test conditions were erratic, read into that we lost track.
This was never going to be anything but a load of tosh when they went to fetch the KTM from the factory it was a forgone conclusion they needed a new king until the next one. Bike rags are just that rags.
Reminds me of when my other bike the Fazer thou gen 1 smoked all comers in a 440 mile course and set a new lap time it was the dogs danglies then 12 months later the same rag was calling it a Jap parts bin special.
Whats with the 4,000 mile service prices they published the BMW,Hooner and Gixxer are all 6,000 mile service intervals.
I am not biased to the BMW as I also have a Fazer thou, they each have there plus and minus points but no way would I stack them up against each other as they are totally different bikes and thats just what they did in MCN.
When I heard that KTM was going to make the SMT I was interested and still am but I will as always take one out for a good long test and make my own mind up unlike so many bikers that read the rags and buy what ever is number one at the moment. Testimony to this is DK Motorcycles they have the same bikers coming back and back with bikes that have less than 2,000 miles on the clock and wanting the newest best thing on the market.

I may be talking out of turn here, but who's the mincer in the red and white leathers riding the GS around Brands?
He was so bothered about getting his pert little tush off the seat to get his knee on the floor that he could get another 5degs and a whole lot more speed out of the GS on the corners.... I'm afraid that report lost all credibility when I saw them riding....

I've no idea I'm not going to watch the rest as I'm sure they'll say the GS is slow, now I've seen it I guess its just blatant advertising and narcissism.
I'm fat bald AND ugly, but I know I can hustle my GS round corners faster than that.
The sad thing is that, there is a large proportion of the biking populace that BELIEVE what these buffoons say.
