mega bikes , dublin .

Never bought a bike from them but allways found them good for gear and parts. The new store in ballymount seems to be better dealt with for bikes more so than wexford street from what people say

Excellent to deal with.I have bought clothing from them no issue. Know of a few riders who bought bikes and again smooth transactions and any issues have been dealt with professionally

Costs a bit more however they have a huge selection of gear.

Bought plenty bits and pieces over the years. Much better to deal with then M50 Honda/KTM.

I like CottersMC over them all when in Dublin area.

It took 11 days to find a loose connection? That’s my take on it. JJH
it took 11 days for them to get to look at it ....REALLY ? ...it is on USA plates , it's a bit obvious he is on holiday , they couldn't squeeze him in ?
they have robbed him of 11 days of his holiday.

i guess anyone else who has commented on it failed to watch the clip.

Can't really expect a busy garage to drop all tools at the height of bike season, with a mechanic shortage to work on someone's bike because there on holidays. Most car garages I deal with are 8 weeks ahead booked out. Add in that its new reg bikes in a few weeks and they're a main dealer for a few brands so pdis have to be done and staff on holidays too

yes, you can , punter may never come again for sure , but everywhere that i have worked , you would try to help .
did you watch ? it took the amount of time that it took to uncrate a bike. 30 mins tops .
and i've worked in small family businesses and multi franchise places , we would always try to get it done ASAP.
would you want to lose 12 days of a holiday ?
i think it it shameful of Mega Bikes.

Am I missing something?

The American lad didn't seem to be ranting and raving.......is the OP getting offended on his behalf?

Not a lot of details in the video.......it does seem unusual that a bike belonging to a visitor/tourist wouldn't be turned around quicker......but there are very little facts/details in the video.

I've been a regular customer of Ciarans since the mid 90's...and he is a good skin.

Shop may have been down on staff.....Ciaran has been in Greece doing some bike rally.....and I'd imagine he brought technical back up with him (staff/mechanic)

Anyway......it's all about the details.....and we don't have many.
Also TT season.....probably technically involved in that at some level also.

Details..... Facts.....

Have been a regular customer of Megabike's and they are a sound crew, that comes from personal first hand experience The video clip just mentions 'factors outside of our control' and doesn't lay any grief on Megabikes specifically. So I don't think it's fair game to make presumptions as to the reasons for the time taken to sort the bike.
