How much did the kit cost and what fuel gain to you get?

Ian

it is a thing of beauty! They are around £600 (now way more due to strong Euro)and I think you get 8L?

It looks a really nice piece of kit and well made. But, as much as I would like the extra fuel capacity, I just can't bring myself to fill the gaps in the frame with a tank.

I love the look space between the frame rails and the simplicity and lightness it infers :)

Plus you save 600 quid :augie

Now Mr S, you know if I really, really wanted one .............. :) :)

Yes..... you would have had it fitted ages ago. Infact you would have probably come up with the idea in the first place;)

£600 for 8L though ..... talk about extravagant:rob

the tank allone is 342 GBP

I know, cause I make them :)

Not my figures eddy55..... someone else posted that they were £600 and 8ltrs

i suppose if your market is 2500 max, you need to charge a rate that will cover the R&D,development and tooling cost and make a profit.

If the potential market was 250 000 + then the price would be less i would imagine?

Marc, I see you've got a spacer in between the mounting plate of your can and the frame. Did you use a longer mounting bolt. I'm looking for a longer bolt and a suitable spacer to move my can away from the rear tire. Any info would be appreciated.

I just used the original bolt.
I had to add the spacers because of the mounting of the rear mudguard.

But I don't understand why you have to do that in your case ?

The akra full race system was designed for the enduro whose tire is much narrower. With the MM 180 tire it comes real close to rubbing the can.

Did you get your Akra full system from HPN or is this product sold
somewhere else ??

Here it is, first fill in. 1,5 Gallon = 6,82 liters

Marc, have you installed the H&B luggage rack for top box in the pictures?

If yes, was there any problem with this?
Do you plan on also using side case mountings from H&B?

Hi Go-GS,

1) Wunderlich support ;
2) I had to extend the height because of the support of the topcase
(it was impossible to reach the lock of the saddle anymore)

Have a look here :

3) side-case : absolutely NO intention to add that
:)
