memory-map and mapsource ?

I want to transfer tracks of green lanes I have created in memory-map to mapsource so that I can upload the actual route onto my Garmin 2720. Anyone know how it can be done easily??

I did try converting the track into routes within memory-map but you then have to save each one with a name and transfer them individually direct to my Garmin and if I try and upload all the routes together you only get waypoints on the Garmin which are not easy to follow off road

There must be a simpler way?

Yes there is a way. I use a piece of software called GPS utility (Theres a link to it on this forum - do a search). You can then open the MM file in that and save it as a GPX. file to open in mapsource.
Sorry if a bit vague, at work at the moment and on works pc so i'll check through on my pc this afternoon. Im sure someone will be along with the link later...

All I do to transfer a track is right mouse click and chose the send to gps option.
Prior to this I have usually right clicked-properties - given a recognisable name to the track but I don't know now much track log memory the 2720 has.
However I struggle to upload a route to my gps created in Memory map as it has too many waypoints.
My problem was transferring track from mapsource to memory map but i found I needed to save it as gpx first.

There might be a bit of confusion between tracks and routes here, and there are more than a few ways of doing it. But basically, hide all the stuff you don't want to move out of Memory Map, then use the "Export visible" facility, saving as a .gpx file. Open the .gpx file in Mapsource and see what you've got. Edit/join your tracks as necessary, then save in Mapsource as a .gdb file.

Get a copy of Wingdb from here: http://www.sackman.info/ Using Wingdb, and your most recent .gdb file as your input file, I would suggest the last option, i.e. "Convert tracks to routes with hidden via points". The output file will then have your route in it without masses of waypoints. This can be opened in Mapsource, and fired up the wire to the GPS. You may want to add a waypoint at the beginning/end/escape point of your route before doing so.
