I’ve had my G Wagen, ‘Matilda’, since 2012. If you don’t know anything about the famous G Wagen, they continue to be Mercedes Benz’s longest surviving model after first appearing in 1979. I bought mine in 2012 and started down the rabbit hole spending fortunes upgrading the engine, running gear and continually restoring the bodywork. I stopped counting and recording the cost when I’d spent £35k in 2013!

As I rarely use it, now might be the time to think about moving it on. I am looking for offers around £35,000 for her.

Beautiful. I’m on my 6th at present. W463 G500

I’ve shared this with a group I’m a member of.
Thanks for spreading the word. Sounds like you’ve been G’d l for a long time. I’ve hankered after a rhd G500 or G55 for ages but never quite managed to get the right one 😀

The G Wagen is still for sale. It hasn’t moved since the original post which mistakenly said it was £35k. Not so. It should have been £25,000.

If you’ve ever hankered after an old G, this one has had just about all the mods done, plus a few extras.

As a long time Mercedes enthusiast these are great cars . The 280 motor is great in the W123 but a good idea to change it to a 300 diesel in that . I remember trying a G280 years ago and it had a lovely feel to it , good luck with the sale
