Taz, picked up one of these for me, thanks mate.
Question, I have removed the tool tray thinking that this is where the indicator connectors are concealed, on my 20003 gs 1150. Nope, not there. Where are they? As I haven't got the indicators off yet, how do these 'hollow bolts' actually fit into the original indicators?

Eliminator,

you seem to have made it more hard work than it needs to be...

Step 1:
Unscrew the lens from the indicator, take the bulb out and pull the connectors off the back of the silver reflector bit. Take this out too.

Step 2:
If you look up under your tail light you should see the large bolts that hold the indicator stems on. Undo them and you should be left with two indicator stems in your hands.

Step 3:
I don't have any pics but if you look at the original indicators you will see there is a bit of stem about 2" long (look for the joins in the plastic and you should hopefully see what I mean) I can't remember this next bit in much detail but it only took me a couple of minutes.. You basically need to disassemble the original stem and take away that 2" bit. The hollow tube you just bought will suddenly make sense and you use this instead of the long bit you just took away.

 Confused? I know I am.
I hope this isn't a case of :postpics

If you get stuck I can try to take some for you.

Graham. Is this for your Zegas you had on order? Did you get any sort of kit for the indicator lights or did you cut the originals down

btw.. still waiting on mine (not overdue yet:rolleyes: )

Derek,

This was the kit from Metal Mule - all of about £11.00 including posteage if I remember correctly, and very easy to fit. Wanted to be certain that I'd removed the indicator shell from the 'line of the fire' of my Remus just in case, but am also hoping there'll be enough clearance for 41L Sondersystem Zega when it arrives next week (fingers crossed) - I wanted to keep the original clear lenses to match the front pair.

TTFN :)

metal mule can

Has any body tried the metal mule can which sits more inboard of the bike and enables the fitment of the full-size pannier? I rang the guy and asked if the bee-em full-size plastic pannier fitted, but he wasn't sure, and invited me over to give it a try-seemed pretty helpful. Looking at photos, I don't think it's gonna fit, plus it'd be a job getting the pannier over there!
