Michelin Road 5’s announced

Can’t believe the PR4s are now totally shit and have no grip whatsoever

It's the law of diminishing returns......... (unless the PR5s have better puncture-resistance)

You can still buy PR2s (road bike sizes), but no idea when they were made. They were brilliant tyres!

. So we're TT100s in 1977

Hmm, even nostalgia isn't what it was. They may have been the best tyres available at the time, but I think we all still knew they were bloomin awful. Just nothing like as bad as the oem Japanese 'instant skids' of the day. Wet weather was a much bigger issue back then.

If the rear tyre is less prone to picking up small sharp stones....then I will try them. Road 2s, 3s were great. 4s I liked less as the front moved a bit when pushing on, and rears, got sick of the regular punctures. Good enough for pegs down on the GS though.
So much choice for great road tyres now though. Roadsmart 3s. Conti Road 3s. Will just go with best price between the top brands when existing tyres wear down a bit more.
