Micro SD card not recognised ??

Guys, the micro SD card in my phone stopped working, so I took it out and tried it in my tablet and laptop and neither of them recognise it. There is a lot of photos and personal info on it that I would like to be able to retrieve the files from it.

Any help and advice very much appreciated.

Have you tried it via a USB card reader thing? In the past, my PC failed to recognise the SD card when using the dedicated SD card slot on the PC but it read fine when using the USB adaptor

plus make sure the contacts on the card are clean......a soft rubber (as in a pencil erasor) used gently on them will clean them properly and safely

The bad news is it may well be stuffed. SD cards along with flash drives tend to pack in with no warning. If the above works for you your next step should be get some form of backup. Whether it is a NAS drive or in the cloud get something so you have at least one copy of everything somewhere.
