Having bought a 660 a few weeks ago I have had a lot of problems with the SD card not being recognised at least half the time. Having tried many different things as recommended by this and the Zumoforums I still had this problem as has many others. However, yesterday I noticed there was a software upgrade on the Garmin site which I downloaded. This has not changed the main software revision number (4.5) so I assume its a patch or bug fix. After downloading the new software I did a hard reset with the SD card installed (16GB). I am using the SD card purely for mp3 files.
The code has definately changed for the card reader as now the Zumo is remembering where it last was after a power down and so far the unit has recognised the SD card everytime I switch off and on again. This is both stand alone and in the bike mount. Early days yet but I am hoping this has cured the issue - so far I cannot recreate the problem.
