Aldi camping coffee maker, looks like a copy of something I saw as a kickstarter a while ago. Makes a very decent cup but I’ll have forearms like Popeye if I use it for more than 2 cups a day…

How big is it Paul?

How big is it Paul?
Now there’s a question… Oh, you mean the coffee maker..? 🤣🤣🤣

As you can see below, it’s a little longer but narrower and an easier shape to pack than an Aeropress. The big difference is that it makes a smaller quantity (100ml) of quite strong espresso and I diluted that then added milk to make a good mug of americano. It’s acceptably more parts to clean afterwards, though. I like that you can load it with coffee and head out for the day then boil, or cadge some boiling water, brew up and go with no mess. Just delay the clean until later as it’s self-contained. It also comes in a neat pouch.IMG_6209.jpegIMG_6210.jpegIMG_6211.jpegIMG_6212.jpeg

I use the Aeropress Go Portable... packs into its own beaker... very compact and makes excellent coffee.

You added milk? That's not an americano.

Surely that makes it a “white Americano!” Must be acceptable as they sell it in Costa?
Nope. Clue is in the name.
Yanks during 2nd world war didn’t like espresso being bought up on brewed coffee so added hot water to a lungo. Hence the name.
Anything else is not an Americano.

Amazon does it in rainbow colours

Slightly more expensive but saves going to Lidl.

It says on the top of the box....
Well, not quite in the terms I was looking to read it at, is it? "Shrinks to half the original diameter for a snug fit" It might as well say Shrinks for a tight fit.

Now what does it say on the actual tubing? 1:2 is a ok, but far from great IMHO.

I know English is not your first language but for me, it is pretty obvious from the label that the product is 1:2. You seem to be having one of your pedantic episodes!

As for the wall thickness, at 600V it will be single thickness suitable for most automotive and domestic wiring. Not sure what you have that needs a higher rating or 1:3 shrinkage.

PEDANTIC EPISODE!!!??? 🤣 Details are very important (to me at least).

1:3 rate is just my personal preference for the sort of things that I do with it, like LED strip lighting installations in my furniture. I am not saying that the 1:2 rate is crap, but it would save me a trip to Lidl to find out for myself if Santa could answer the question. I do not always trust a printed label. But that’s my problem to deal with.
