It looks rather like they've gone bust...or at least they've lostthe rights to that domain so it's been taken back over by the original hosting company.....

You did have backups didn't you????

I've sent an e-mail to Leigh, nice chap who runs the site to ask what's going on - will post up as soon as I get a reply.

Okay guys - i'm Leigh who runs Midnight Photos.

I apologize about the problem you had yesterday, but here is the reason.

I have ordered a new server for Midnight Photos and a couple of other sites i have. I made a change to the DNS system that translates the www address into the actual ip address of the system (apologies if you know what DNS is). That is where the problem came in - the DNS reverted to the 123-reg defaults - 123-reg is the company where the domain was registered.

The new server should be coming in the next couple of weeks, and this is totally mine, rather being owned by my work. This should mean that the site should run a little quicker all round as the current server is getting a little tired (and work doesn't want to buy a new server - hence the reason i've bought myself a new one). It is also moving to a new 'proper' datacenter, so it'll cope with any future growth.

Again, my sincerest apologies for the problems you have experienced. :bow

Leigh

Ps, i also aplogogise for having a zx-6 :D

Thanks for responding Leigh. Personally I think you run a cracking site and look forward to the new and improved service.
