I have managed to get the screen and silver plate off, undo the speedo cable, pull the speedo, insert the mount and reposition the speedo with no problems.
Only after pulling the speedo out that I noticed a small wierd roughly triangular shaped rubber / plastic piece, between the speedo and the knurled knob which you use to reset the trip meter. This annoying plastic / rubber piece has free movement around the spindle connecting the speedo to the knurled knob.
My problem is that after the speedo has been replaced, this rubber piece seems to be set at an angle, and does not allow smooth turning of the reset switch. How have other members get theirs to work ? Everyone whose fitted a Misel mount (and there seems to be a fair few) must have had the same problem. Before anyone says "Read the Instructions" I have - and it's not mentioned.
It's late - I'm going to watch Michael Palin - get pissed - and think about this one overnight.
