Mike Goodman has passed away. R.I.P.

For those of you that have used Bristol Motorrad / BRM. or more recently Dick Lovett Motorrad.

Mike Goodman recently suffered a Cerebral Hemorrhage, from which he didn't recover, and he passed away yesterday.

I'd known Mike for many years, he was a top bloke, and always went out of his way to help me. He will be sadly missed.

R.I.P Mike, and condolences to his mother.

I was phoned by Darren, yesterday, to post on UKGSer and I posted on here. I have placed a cross link on it to your post.
I first met Mike Goodman in the early 90's, shortly after Bath Rd Motorcycles opened, when I presume he was a young mechanic. I was trading in an early model K100RS and he took it for a test ride, disappearing in a cloud of smoke, which was embarassing. He came back shaking his head I wont elaborate on the reasons for that, but needless to say, he knew his stuff! Always knowledgeable was Mike.

Mike's untimely death hit me quite hard, as he was so happy with his life when i saw him a few days before he was taken ill.

Just heard that Mikes funeral will be held next wednesday 2.30 at westerliegh crematorium. I'll be going along to pay my respects, hopefully along with many others who knew him.

Mike Goodman RIP

A sad day to hear of the loss of Mike Goodman, I have known Mike for over 20 years through my dealings with Bath Rd Motorcycles / Bristol Motorrad. I had come to regard Mike as a friend. I am particularly fussy when it comes to motorcycles and at times I must have annoyed Mike with my questions and nit picking, but not once did he ever show it. He was always very helpful & knowledgable.

I spoke to Mike in his new job at Dick Lovett Motorrad, and apart from feeling uncomfortable in a suit, he seemed very happy and was looking forward to the future in his new position.

Mike will be missed and my thoughts go to his family and ex colleagues at Bath Rd.

I'd have classed Mike as Bristol Motorrad's most valuable employee, even though he wasn't able to offer much in the way of discounts, he was always extremely helpful, knowledgable and had a good memory for customers' names/faces. Top bloke and it's a sad to see him go early in life.

Just found out this morning, that Mike didnt recover and sadly passed away.

He was really looking forward to his new job at Dick Lovetts when I last spoke to him at the new dealership.

As already said here, he was a fountain of knowledge, and always a friendly face whenever I saw him.

R.I.P. Mike, sadly missed.

It was a sad day in truly aweful weather conditions yesterday with sad memories of Mike

You are probably unaware, but a motorcycling friend that I was standing next to at the chapel, who was carrying his baby daughter, was killed a few hours later in an evening kayaking tragedy. His name was Iain Woodcock aged approx 32. I may post links to some of the stuff that we have done offroad on GS's later. Yesterday was a doubly sad day
