HPN and others do a taller 5th gear. Gives a 5% drop in rpm in 5th if I read it correctly. Theirs is only for post 82 bikes though. More info here: http://www.hpn.de/english/english.html and then select "engine and gearbox" on the righ hand side.

Thanks John, I had considered that option. I have a spare bevel box at home and I was looking into modding the ratios. I dunno how hard that would be.
