Minor service

Giving the PD a fluids only service next week, brake fluid , box and drive oil and of course engine oil.

The bikes only covered 450 miles since the last change 2 years ago. I'm sure I read somewhere the oil filter change is every second oil change ? Not sure i like that idea but given the low miles is that acceptable ?

I change all my oils every 3k, and do the oil filter every other time. It will be fine.

I know its not a major decision , it just seems alien that the advice is to change it every other change. Don't recall reading that for any other models . Anyway I'll change the oil and do a full service next year .

It also a time thing.. My old airheads don't do big miles.

No need to change that filter......people must think they dissolve in oil !

Use GL5 quality gear oil in the gearbox and FD. 20/50 in engine.

Right, off to the garage for me as well........Z1300 needs fettling
