Mint 1150GSA SE - What's It Worth?

These bikes generate more interest than '2 a penny 1200's' and for sheer riding enjoyment I take the 1150adv keys over the 1200adv's every time. Better on road than the 1150 ?

That's a lot for a 7 year old bike, that said it's a dealer so what else would you expect ?
I'd stretch to 7k for a low mile's example, but it would have to be a minty minter, and i doubt they're about really.

£2k difference between what you want to spend and what the bike is valued at by the pro's, if the bike is really what you want, its only 2 grand, just stump up for don't be tight.

But i suspect that unless you are very conceited, self centered and/or a sucker for one of MBW's bin end specials then ANY low milage 1150ADV would suit your needs.

With Airhead Basics and 100PD's reaching £6-7k, now.............then if that's what y0u want, then why not

Pro's? They knocked £300 of the 05 list price. Then another £300 after a couple of weeks. If they keep that up it'll sell in a couple of months or so. If they'd got the price right it'd be sold without comment, rather than a thread starter in here. The amazing thing is that compared to the current c.£16K price for a new 1200GSA a seven year old bike with 600 quid of its sale price doesn't seem as outrageous as it really is.
I expect if you rolled up on this bike you'd have to listen to a hour of waffle about how old it is and how everyone wants a 1200 with twin overhead whotsits and computer controlled exhaust notes etc etc before being offered book plus a bit for mileage against a new one at list.
I think I'll wait for another "opportunity to own a classic in the making" or whatever well filled tripe sandwich is spinning this month.
It looks nice but ABS has ruined it for me a bit. That and the 9k asking price.

With the low miles and a private sale, 6K's probably nearer the mark. I got a late 1150 Adv with 20K, mint for 5K with extra's... but that was also mates rates! They are out there however.
Remove ABS (free, look for thread here, no BS removal 'kit' needed) and you'll get back the thick end of a grand for the unit

That would've been a really great bike... if they'd offered the black engine/gearbox option of the standard bike. IMHO, the black doesn't bubble up with corrosion like the sliver stuff does. Oh, and a black swinger/final drive a la Rockster would've set it apart too!

Perhaps the saddest and most disappointing thing about this bike is that it hasn't been ridden.

I'm with Fanum though, given a choice, I'd rather have one of these than any 1200. But I'd still rather keep my F800

getting £600+ for a 'nearly new' SH unit isn't unreasonable, I would have thought
