One of the mirrors on my bike (2019 R1250GS with 24k miles) has developed a rattle. I assume the glass has come unstuck somehow - or there's something inside the housing that has broken.

There is no vibration in the mirror, just an annoying rattle.

I've attached a very short video to demonstrate the noise (you may have to turn up the volume to hear it).

My question is simple. Is there a DIY fix for this, or is it easier to get hold of a replacement mirror?

Thanks.

Surely your dealer will just swap it even if off a second hand bike?

I just dropped a bit of superglue in between the bottom of the mirror and it’s housing, whilst pushing against the mirror.

Did this about 6 months ago and still no rattle,

BMW will swap it under warranty. Unless you'd scuffed or obviously knocked it.

Thanks. As far as I know I have not damaged the mirror or housing at all and there's certainly no visible signs of any issue. I'll drop into the dealer next time I'm passing. See if I can get them to agree a swap.

Thanks. If BMW refuse to swap it under warranty, I'll give that a go.

If no bmw help I fix my mirror with this method

^^^ Thanks. I will use that if I don't get anywhere with BMW.
