Mirror upgrade

BENEFIT

I get the different shape and styling but can you tell us nutty is the mirror area larger or just a different shape.
My mickeys ears have never vibrated or shook btw. ooer:hide

GSA and GS mirrors...

...do vibrate a lot. Of course I've been spoiled coming from a 1200RT, but they are not the best selling point of the GS. I mean, I know there's stuff coming up behind me on the motorway, but how close does it have to get before I can tell its the filth?!!

They look the same, but won't be as good as the genuine ones; we're not talking mega bucks for the genuine ones, so I figured I'd take the risk and pop them for sale on here if they weren't any good.:rob

It's slightly larger, but a different shape, as you don't tend to see as much elbow in the reflection.:thumb:beerjug:

But will they be vibration free, like the OE ones???:nenau

naw - you've to pay extra for the vibration. :pullface

best change i made to mirrors (in general) was nylock nuts to secure them - cut out 90% of vibes. :thumb2

IMO, they look more modern, and finish the bike off. I'm sure someone will be along to disagree though!:blast

Why don't you get the deeper black hand guards - they're cheap as chips and would look better on your bike than those grey jobbies

I haven't got any :blast

But my bikes white - had them a couple of years back when I was commuting through the winter as they offer better weather protection - but I flogged them as I'm now a fair weather biker.

Basically they're a bit deeper and black ;)

BMW - they replace the top grey bit and think they're about £30. Fit straight in place and look like OE.

Damn, looks like I've got to spend some more money:blast:D

They will look better but your hands will get too hot in the summer, (or stay dryer)!

Hi guys if your thinking of buying the pattern mirrors ones off eBay don't I bought a pair and the thread is slightly different so they won't fit, there advertised as GS 800 mirrors but no good on my 1200 going to try and get a refund but not holding my breath.

Didt realise there was "wobble" with the standard mirrors. Always good to do homework on forums before a purchase eh (in my case).

Stunning bike, the one I want :cool

Mirrors look great by the way :thumb

Thanks:beerjug: You can't have it though, it's mine:D

Looks great

The mirrors look great. So does the bike for that matter. I just didn't know my Mickey mouse ear stock mirrors on my 2007 GSA vibrated at all. I rode a 2003 HD Electraglide for 9 years, talk about vibration in the mirrors:) they were useless and was one of the reasons I bought my GSA
