All I can see out of the right hand mirror is a view of my elbow!!!

Can any one suggest/recommend a replacement mirror or some sort of device to extend the original mirror arm ?

Thanks

if your left mirror is fine then I would suggest slackening the right mirror mount and move the arm out, never heard of any problems with the position of the mirrors before either.

As others have suggested . . . try adjusting your mirrors. The wide GS mirrors are pretty hard to beat.

I agree with all the above............there should be no problem. BMW are famous for having mirrors that show what is BEHIND you............sure, they may blur a bit at times but there should be no elbows.

As the mirrors are symmetrical and most people's bodies are as well then you must be one heck of a 'self abuser'

:)

The mirror bit on the end is swivelable have you tried adjusting that?

If the left one works the right one should!! unless somthing is well banana'd:eek:

yes have adjusted them but still get a view of my arm :aidan

I adjusted my mirrors and levers at the weekend, and was able to get to the point where there was no part of me or the bike in field of view.

This was mainly down to loosening off the lock bolt and pushing both mirror arms slightly forward (towards the screen) effectively widening their position relative to my shoulders.

I actually turned them back in a little, as it looked weird without a reference point...

If you've done this (including loosening off the bolts and turning the mirror arm) I'm a bit confused.

If it still doesn't work I'd guess that the whole assembly (mirror and brake lever) might be in the wrong spot

Have you checked its position relative to the grips and tried loosing the clamp and sliding it along the bars?

Try riding a Ducati 999 (or any Ducati come to that)........BMW mirrors are pure bliss !!!!!!;)

try woodies emporium 01443742421 in wales i think, they have mirror extensions perfect for the wider rider they worked great on my gsa

If woodies can't help try Clingon supplies they sell cloaking devices, cloak you jacket sleeves and problem solved.

my first trip on a GS was amazing - I could see behind me! Never saw much with GSXR I had before, especially with an oversuit on in rain - both mirrors were full of flapping plastic arm coverings. Really useful.

Picking up on an earlier comment - in all seriousness look at your riding position. A mate of mine unknowingly sits off centre on his bike, he thinks he's in the centre of the seat sat perfectly but he aint, he sits slightly to the right and it must affect rear vision. No idea why he does it, and he doesnt know either.

Worth a look-see.
