Bought a new rear Tourance today from Micheldever tyres. Rung them up & explained that I was changing from Trailwings, and would it be OK to keep the front, & run with a rear Tourance. Man says yes. Get up there, tyre removed, fitter says to me you shouldn't do this! I had already paid the bill, if I hadn't he wanted to get me to sign a disclaimer saying I had been warned about odd tyres!
Both apparently radials, so legal. Just strikes me as the nancy state. I've done fifty miles in the wet, doesn't strike me as unsafe. Any comments anyone?

I have run T66 on the front and Tourances on the rear before now with no problems. I wouldn't worry.;)

Just been reading on ADVrider that some are running the new Perelli on the front (for better grip) and Tourances on the rear (for better wear), I might try that next.

I ran a part worn front Trailwing with a new rear Tourance for a couple of weeks when my bike was new. The Trailwings were bloody awful, so it's difficult to say whether it had any effect or not...

Mike:)
