A friend has picked up a pair of tatty 1150GS panniers but they are locked and the keys are missing. Anyone have any idea how to obtain replacement : keys? Thanks Ronnie.

Are the panniers locked with the lids in the closed position ? If so I think you will have to resort to drilling the locks out start of with a small drill bit down through the centre of the key hole and work up to aprox 8mm drill . Bit a sod of a job ( don't ask me how I know ). If the handles are in the open position you are in luck to the side of the lock (normali hidden by the handle) you will see a small hole push something such as an allen key in there and the lock should come out easily .
Good Luck

Ronnie, give me a call. I'll give you the name of a local place that'll open them and give you the right key for the lock.

Saves drilling, buying new barrels, and having them coded etc etc.
